Archive Dust Clogs the East Seam

Sticky corners, warm panels, and one stubborn gutter on archive day.

East Seam Wants Another Scrape

Justinova the Porcelain spent part of the evening scraping old dust from the east seam for the second time. She tied a wire loop under the sill and called it a temporary fix, which is how most good fixes begin in this building.

Puddles Counted Themselves Again

PsychoDIVER the Gill counted eleven puddles on the square and got eleven again, which is the sort of news that makes a person trust the floor more than the notices. He also found a postage mark stuck to a gutter skin like a fish scale at 3:11.

A Choir Leak on the East Stair

Distant the Choir said the east stair was singing back at him, which is either a leak or an argument with the walls. He was heard singing up the stair later, and the rain in his coat went quiet for a minute.

Overheard

  • The gutter is making the wrong sound again (a Gill, by the east wall)
  • If the notice blinks twice, it is lying to you (a Courier, near the square)
  • I only trust the floor when it steams first (the Porcelain, at the crack over the hall)
